Welcome to Lightly We Go, a university-based advice, health and tourism blog designed for students. It is created by myself, Lucy, a 21-year-old English Literature student from rural Norfolk studying at the University of York.
I am a musician, an equestrian, and a keen campaigner on a wide range of issues. I can normally be found with a notebook in my bag and a camera around my neck, most likely alongside my endlessly patient boyfriend whom you’ll come to know as ‘G’.
Lightly We Go started life back in May of 2013, then named life, et cetera. It was a collection diary entries and photographs documenting my summertime. Since then it’s been a personal journal, a political sounding-board, and, as of July 2015, a reader-focused, values-driven student lifestyle, wellbeing and tourism blog.
Here on Lightly We Go you’ll find:
tips and guidance for school, college and university under student life
the interactive #PrettyHealthyProject enabling a healthier lifestyle through small steps
suggestions for cost-effective and accessible places to visit both locally and internationally
Above all, Lightly We Go is collaborative, existing to engage and support a student-based readership. It wants to go with its audience on new journeys, whether they include global travel or personal development, and it wants those trips to be sunny, joyous, and bright. Will you come with us?
